Competition Description: 

 

The “Create Your Personal Career Design” competition offers you the opportunity to develop your vision for your musical future and present it through a creative competition. This is an opportunity for you to create a self-management and business plan for a successful music career.

Eligibility:

 

All students of Korea National University of Arts are welcome to participate in this competition.

It is not necessary to have taken the course

“Self-Management for Success” to participate.

Submission Requirements:

    • Submit two topics:

  1. Self-Management Career Design

    • Approach: Express your (still vague) Career Design in writing and describe your vision:

    1. Title: Give your career design a fitting title.

    2. Description (max. 3,000 characters): Describe your professional goals, the path you want to take, and the strategies you will use to achieve your career goals. Illustrate your self-management and creative process.

    3. Target Audience Analysis (max. 1,500 characters): Who are the “gatekeepers” on your path to your career goal? Define their interests and how you plan to communicate your music or projects to them.

    4. CV (max. 3,000 characters): Your current CV, summarizing your musical and professional experiences to date.
       

  2. Business Plan for Your Music Career

    • Approach: Musicians are required to submit a detailed business or career plan that considers both artistic and economic aspects of their music career:

    1. Target Audience Analysis (max. 2,000 characters): Who is your audience, and how do you plan to communicate with them?

    2. Marketing Strategy (max. 2,000 characters): What steps will you take to promote your music? What role will social media and digital platforms play? Are you planning any performances or other marketing activities?

    3. Collaborations and Networking (max. 2,000 characters): What partnerships and collaborations are important for you? How do you plan to advance your career through targeted networking?

    4. Long-term Goals (max. 1,500 characters): What artistic and financial milestones do you hope to achieve in the next 5–10 years?

     • Feasibility Review: Learn how to critically evaluate whether your ideas can be practically implemented.

Eligibility:

   • Target Audience: All students of Korea National University of Arts can participate.

   • Submission Deadline: Submissions must be sent via email by May 5, 2025, 12:00 PM (Korean time).

   • Format: Submissions must be in digital format.

 

Prizes and Evaluation:

• Prize: The winner will receive a cash prize of 1,000,000 KRW.

 

Announcement of Winners:

   • Winner Announcement: The winners will be announced on May 8, 2025.

   • Award Ceremony: The award ceremony will take place on May 09, 2025, at Korea National University of Arts, with all jury members in attendance.
